Originally from St. Paul, Minnesota, Anna ventured to Colorado in 2014 to study Hospitality Management at the University of Denver. She had been working in corporate events for 2 years after graduation when the pandemic hit - events were quickly untenable, and of course her job too. In March of 2020, the mayor of Denver declared liquor stores non-essential businesses and ordered them closed to prevent the spread of COVID-19. It was like prohibition all over again - people were scared, they were socializing in different ways and drinking in the privacy of their own homes. Anna couldn’t get “Hooch” and “Booch” out of her head - Hooch referring to what alcohol was often called in the 1920s, and Booch referring to kombucha. Daydreams turned into business plans, and Hooch Booch was born.

Favorite Hooch Booch flavor, and how do you like to enjoy it? “The Clover Club, with a splash of Hendricks Gin and paired with a charcuterie board. The champagne yeast used in our booch gives similar notes to wine, thus the charcuterie pairing.”

Quirky fact or motto? “‘Trust the Process’ has been my guiding motto since I was furloughed, which led me to where I am now. On the good days it keeps me grounded, and on the difficult days pushes me through.”

Hobbies in Colorado? “Yoga, skiing, and hiking”

Shannon is a Colorado native! Originally from Colorado Springs, she moved to Denver in 2015 to study Food & Beverage Management at the University of Denver. School led to her passion for spirits, wine, beer and eventually hard kombucha (aka, Hooch Booch). Shannon and founder Anna walked every morning during the beginning of the pandemic as Hooch Booch was at its very early ideation stages, and now is a crucial part of the team!

Favorite Hooch Booch flavor, and how do you like to enjoy it? “My favorite is the Old Fashioned, paired with a cool Colorado evening, a nice campfire, great company, and that extra splash of bourbon.”

Quirky fact or motto? “I sleep exclusively with socks on.”

Hobbies in Colorado? “Cycling, hiking, snowshoeing, and endless loops of walking at Wash Park.”

From Michigan. Wanted to get back into working in hospitality/ women owned business. Love sales and startups. Found hooch booch from a friend and got connected!

Chai old fashioned & rum runner. Love to bring it to the pool, camping, tailgate and mostly just drink out of the can.

Hobbies in Colorado? love being outside, anything on the water, my dogs, camping, traveling, cooking and making cocktails or mocktails, gardening.

Austin, TX- it was fate!!! The day I started searching for a new role in food & bev marketing the Hooch Booch Marketing Manager position popped up. I sent everyone on the team a message on LinkedIn because I KNEW it was the role for me.
